As a leader, CREDIBILITY is paramount.  As a matter of fact, it's the number one asset any leader has. It is the cornerstone of leadership.  If you don't have credibility, you won't be a leader for long.  Developing and maintaining credibility is a career-long and more often than not, lifelong pursuit.

 

Stephen Covey in discussing what he described as the four roles of leadership stated, 'The first role is simply to be an example, a model: one whose life has credibility with others, has integrity, diligence, humility, the spirit of servant-leadership, of contribution.  This is the most fundamental of our roles.'
